Justin Timberlake post-gig chaos in Chelmsford captured by drone

Drone footage released by police showed hundreds of cars stuck on gridlocked roads after a Justin Timberlake concert.

Some fans spent four hours trying to leave Chelmsford City Racecourse after the gig on 4 July, with others abandoning their vehicles to walk along a dual carriageway.

Essex Police said music fans could have died due to “catastrophic” traffic management failures after the show, attended by about 25,000 people.

The racecourse promised the problems would not happen again, and a licensing committee at Chelmsford City Council was expected to decide on Friday whether the venue would have to change the way it hosted music events.
