Castleford Tigers winger Jason Qareqare has signed a contract extension which will keep him with the Super League club for a further three years.

The 22-year-old Fiji international has made a total of 55 appearances for the club since making his senior debut in 2021.

He has gone on to score 33 tries for Cas, including 11 so far this season in all competitions.

“I’ve been at this club for five years now, so glad to get it over the line,” he told the club website., external

“I feel like I’m playing my best rugby right now, so hopefully I can continue that for the next three years here as well.”

Qareqare made just one appearance for Castleford last season because of injury but has hit the ground running on his return in 2026.

Having formed a partnership with centre Krystian Mapapalangi, Qareqare has scored two hat-tricks within his 11-try haul for the season.

“He’s had a breakout year and he’s starting to get some real consistency and rhythm, which has been good for him,” head coach Ryan Carr added.

“He’s formed a great connection with Maps and we know he will continue to develop and improve as a player, which is exciting for us a club.”
