Ioan Lloyd: Wales fly-half set to leave Scarlets for Cardiff

Wales fly-half Ioan Lloyd is set to join Cardiff from Scarlets for the start of the 2025-26 season after two campaigns in Llanelli.

Lloyd, 23, linked up with Scarlets in the summer of 2023 from Bristol and has been competing for the fly-half position with Sam Costelow, who is in line to stay with Dwayne Peel’s side.

Scarlets head coach Peel refused to confirm the Lloyd transfer.

“There’s no news and at this time of year, [but] there will be that speculation around players,” said Peel.

“When we get into the grips of announcements, I’m sure we’ll make some announcements in due course.”
