Hull Kingston Rovers will celebrate their Super League Grand Final victory with a bus parade through Hull.

The Robins beat Wigan Warriors 24-6 earlier at Old Trafford, Manchester, in a re-run of the 2024 final.

The result capped off an unforgettable campaign for the Robins, who added the trophy to the Challenge Cup and League Leaders’ Shield to seal a first-ever treble for the club.

Starting at Sewell Group Craven Park at 15:45 BST on Sunday, the parade will make its way through east Hull and will arrive at Hull City Hall in Victoria Square approximately 45 minutes later.

The event outside the City Hall in Queen Victoria Square will start at 15:30, with the celebrations featuring a range of music and entertainment, ahead of the team appearing on the City Hall balcony at 16:30.

A big screen will show highlights of the team’s journey in reaching the final, along with footage of their win over Wigan Warriors, Hull City Council said.

The event will finish at 17:30, with the crowd joining in with a big singsong of the club’s anthem, “Red Red Robin”.

Council leader councillor Mike Ross said winning the treble was an “incredible achievement” and the team had “done the city proud”.

The council said an accessible viewing area for wheelchair users will be available to the front of the stage area. This area will be clearly indicated on the day and no bookings are necessary, though numbers will be limited to 25 people, to include wheelchair users and one helper, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

A small number of road closures will be in place on Sunday to allow for the event.

Paragon Street will be closed from 05:00 to 20:00, while Carr Lane will shut from 13:00 to 18:30m.

Bus users are advised to check with local operators to find out any changes to routes.
