Homes have been evacuated as police attend a security alert in south Belfast.

A suspicious device was discovered in Areema Drive in Dunmurry on Friday afternoon.

Cordons have been put in place at Areema Drive towards Ashley Park.

Officers have advised motorists and members of the public to avoid the area at this time.
