Hockey Pro League: England’s women beaten 4-0 by China in Hangzhou

England’s women were dominated by China as they lost 4-0 to the hosts in a Pro League match in Hangzhou.

Three goals in the second quarter from Chen Yang, Zhang Ying and He Jiangxin gave China a commanding lead.

The Olympic silver medallists rounded off their win in the final quarter when Chen Yujun scored from close range.

It is England’s second defeat from three matches in China, having lost their opener against the hosts on 1 December.

David Ralph’s team face Belgium, who they beat 3-1 on Monday, in their next fixture on 12 December.
