Commenting on a post speculating that Cavill could be cast as Doctor Doom, MyTimeToShineHello tweeted: “He was offered something else and he accepted.” One fan replied, “You lying mate”, to which the scooper replied: “You will find that I’m not, sooner than you think”. However, he later backtracked and wrote: “Actually, my bad, some of you guessed it right.” And the implication many fans are taking away from this cryptic post is that it is the Fantastic Four villain after all.

In the comics, he even invents a time machine and alongside Mr Fantastic is considered to be an ancestor of time traveller from the future, Kang the Conqueror.
