Harry Wilson: Leeds United confirm signing of Wales attacker on free transfer

Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Wales international Harry Wilson on a four-year contract.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder joins as a free agent after his contract expired at Fulham at the end of June.

Wilson, who joined the Cottagers from Liverpool for £12m in 2022 after a loan spell, enjoyed his best goalscoring return in the Premier League last term with 10 goals in 36 appearances.

“When the season finished and I became a free transfer, I felt Leeds were the team that really showed the interest in me,” he said.

“As a player, you want to play for a team which you feel like they want you and you feel like they are doing everything to get you.

“Really, really excited. It is a massive, massive club in the Premier League. To play for Leeds, you have to have a big personality.

“You have to be able to deal with pressure – the demands of the club and demands of the fans. You have to be able to take the pressure and go out and perform.”

Wilson, who has 69 caps for his country, becomes Leeds‘ first signing of the summer.

They have also been linked with moves for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles and Germany midfielder Julian Brandt, who left Borussia Dortmund when his contract expired at the end of the season.
