Welsh golfer Lydia Hall leads the Czech Ladies Open following a career best nine-under-par round on the Ladies European Tour.

Hall shot a first round 63 to take a one-shot lead ahead of Vanessa Knecht, Esme Hamilton and Blanca Fernandez.

Bridgend-born Hall won the ISPS Handa British Masters in 2012, her lone triumph on her 292 starts on the LET Tour.

When asked how hungry she was to earn her second win on the tour, the 38-year-old replied: “I want the second, third and fourth and many more.

“I definitely think there’s a lot more to come hence why I’m still here 18 years in.”
