Wales head coach Sean Lynn stressed after the exit in the group stages of the World Cup that he needed his players to get more club action.

He was in charge of Crabb for Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) champions Gloucester-Hartpury and believes the Swansea-born forward will have a big impact for Thunder.

“Having worked with her at club and international level, her experience and rugby knowledge will make an impact on the young players we know we have coming through the system,” he said.

“We have spoken about Gwen developing her leadership skills and passing on her international experience and of playing in England to the young players in the Brython Thunder squad.”

They kick off their Celtic Challenge campaign when hosting Glasgow Warriors at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday, 20 December (12:30 GMT), while Gwalia Lightning start at Clovers on the same day (11:30 GMT).
