Great Britain win silver in women’s 4x100m medley relay

Great Britain’s women won silver in the 4x100m medley relay on the final day of the World Aquatics Short Course Championships in Budapest.

The United States won the race in a world record of three minutes 40.41 seconds as they dominated the field.

However, it was closer behind them and the British team of Abbie Wood, Angharad Evans, Eva Okaro and Freya Anderson finished second in 3:47.84 as they narrowly beat a China team who set a time of 3:47.93.

Wood added silver to two bronze medals she had won in the 200m and 400m individual medley events earlier in the competition.
