This is the moment Ethan Ives-Griffiths’ grandparents were questioned by police after the toddlers death.

The two-year-old died on 16 August 2021 after suffering a “catastrophic” head injury at their house in Garden City, Flintshire.

Michael Ives, 47, and Kerry Ives, 46, were both found guilty of murder and child cruelty at a trial at Mold Crown Court.

His mother Shannon Ives, 28, was also found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a child and cruelty to a child.

North Wales Police said CCTV cameras, which covered the family home, were crucial to revealing how Ethan was treated.

The trio will all be sentenced on 3 October.
