Glasgow bus station closed over suspicious package

Police have closed Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow after the bomb squad was sent out to reports of a suspicious package.

There is no access for passengers and no buses can enter or leave, after the incident at about 13:10.

Killermont Street is closed to traffic and pedestrians and people are advised to avoid the area. Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing.

A Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) spokesperson apologised for the disruption and said commuters would be updated when the station reopens.
