Get rid of moths: Three ‘deterrents’ to keep them out ‘for good’

Moths may seem like harmless insects, but they can get in your closet and eat your clothes. 

There are a few methods to get rid of moths. One of them includes wiping down your counters with white vinegar, while another is to grow bay leaves in your house. 

Martha Stewart, on the other hand, has a few tips that will deter moths from entering your home in the first place. 

An article on the lifestyle guru’s website said moths are likely to congregate in your kitchen, where they’ll eat your dry goods, or your bedroom, where they’ll munch on your wool clothing. To keep them out, there’s three items that you can keep in those areas.

While the pesticides can eliminate an infestation, they can also be harmful to people, unborn babies and pets. Be sure to be careful handling the potent chemicals, and its probably best to store them in the garage. 

Lavender 

The two methods before will kill and deter moths, while this method will just deter. Moths don’t like the smell of lavender, so keeping lavender or its oil near your clothes or kitchen will keep them away.
