Gang rapper Ellis Heather jailed for murdering Stephen Morrisson

Heather went on to rap about what he did with the lyrics: “OL got wet and he’s dead (wet, wet, wet, wet).”

He also partied after the murder, listening to music by the victim’s brother, Morrisson, who has charted in the UK.

Police arrested Heather within days of the murder, but it was five years before he was charged in July 2025.

Their investigation involved analysis of more than 200 hours of CCTV footage and evidence gathered from 50 phones and five vehicles.

Det Ch Insp Greg Wood, of Essex Police, said Morrisson’s family had shown “tremendous strength” in the six years since his death.

He added: “His loved ones have lived with the unimaginable pain of losing Stephen, while patiently waiting for those responsible to be held accountable.”
