Staff at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) are set to strike for four days beginning later this month in a dispute over job cuts.
The University and College Union (UCU) said 16 employees at the university’s executive office could be made redundant as part of efforts to save £2m.
The union is planning walkouts on 30 October as well as 5, 17 and 18 November.
UHI said it held constructive discussions with UCU to explore “all possible alternatives”, adding that its priorities were to support staff and ensure students were not affected by any action.
