Former West Yorkshire PC charged with misconduct in public office

A former West Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with 13 counts of misconduct in a public office.

Jenade Yamin, 30, who worked in the Calderdale district at the time of his arrest, is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The charges follow an investigation into computer misuse, unauthorised disclosure of police information, assisting an offender and fraud, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.

The offences allegedly took place between November 2019 and May 2022. He resigned from the force in 2023 while under investigation.
