FM seeks to meet with opposition parties

Humza Yousaf says he will be inviting talks with all opposition parties to try to “make minority government work”.

The first minister was speaking on a visit to Dundee, as he also confirmed he would not resign ahead of the prospect of a vote of no confidence.

Without the power-sharing deal with the Greens, the SNP is now two seats short of a majority in the Scottish Parliament.

But Mr Yousaf said he would be contacting the Greens, he empathises with their position and that he could see them working together in a “less formal arrangement”.
