Fittest farmers go head to head in contest at Jeremy Clarkson’s pub

Farmers from all over the UK have put themselves to the test in Britain’s Fittest Farmer – a competition which champions physical and mental wellbeing in agriculture.

Launched in 2018 by Farmer’s Weekly, this year’s event was hosted by Jeremy Clarkson at his pub, the Farmer’s Dog, in Burford, Oxfordshire.

Sarah Godwin, a partner in a third-generation family farm in north Wiltshire, was among those breaking a sweat and said she was definitely motivated to “carry on going to the gym”.

Clarkson himself was not among the competitors, joking to Farmer’s Weekly that he would be “Britain’s fattest farmer instead”.
