Firefighters are tackling a gorse fire in the Mourne Mountains.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said it received a report of a blaze near Silent Valley in County Down at about 17:17 GMT on Friday evening.

There are currently six pumps at the scene working to tackle the fire.

It is the second fire of its kind in the area this week, following reports of a blaze Altnadue Road near Castlewellan on Monday, which is believed to have been started deliberately.
