Erol Bulut: FA charges Cardiff City boss after Swansea red card

The Football Association (FA) has charged Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut with misconduct after he was sent off during last Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Swansea City.

Referee Oliver Langford showed Bulut a red card in added time as the Bluebirds boss appeared to refuse to give the ball back to Swansea’s players, prompting a melee.

Cardiff have appealed against the dismissal and, as they wait to discover the outcome, Bulut will be allowed on the touchline for Saturday’s home Championship match against Middlesbrough.

An FA spokesperson said: “It’s alleged that the manager’s behaviour around the 96th minute was improper. He has until tomorrow, 30 August, to provide a response.”
