Elise Hughes injury ‘an opportunity’ – Wales boss Rhian Wilkinson

Head coach Rhian Wilkinson says striker Elise Hughes’ ACL injury is “an opportunity” for her Wales squad before their Euro qualifying double header against Ukraine.

Hughes suffered the serious knee injury playing for her club, Crystal Palace, in April and will miss the rest of Wales’ qualifying campaign.

But boss Wilkinson believes this could be the chance to get back into the starting line-up Kayleigh Barton has been waiting for.
