Dungannon: Man arrested after gun allegedly pointed at taxi

A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm after a gun was allegedly pointed at a taxi driver in Dungannon, County Tyrone.

Officers received a report about the incident in the Market Square area on Monday.

Det Sgt Curley said the police cordon in Market Square had been removed and “extensive searches” were continuing in the area.

The main remains in custody.
