Delays are expected at Dublin airport after a power cut caused disruption on Sunday.
Officials said check-in, security and boarding processes in terminal two were now “working but slower than usual” due to a passenger backlog.
The airport said 15 flights were delayed in the morning but most flight operations continued as normal after the power cut, which affected more than 30,000 premises in north Dublin.
The airport operator daa have said an ESB power outage in the north County Dublin area resulted in a loss of power in parts of terminal two this morning, RTÉ have reported.
The daa said the nature of the outage caused an issue with the airport’s back-up generators, which resulted in some delays for passengers checking in at T2.
Pictures have been posted online of long queues of people waiting inside and outside the airport. Passengers are advised to travel to the airport as normal for their flights.
