Driver, 84, dies after crash in Aberdeenshire

An 84-year-old man has died after crashing his car Aberdeenshire.

He was driving a silver VW Polo on Old Skene Road, in Kirkton of Skene, at about 19:00 on Tuesday when the incident happened.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he later died.

Police Scotland appealed for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to contact them, external. Sgt Peter Henderson said that thoughts were with his family.
