Dozens of firefighters have been deployed after a blaze broke out at a factory in Birmingham.

Fifteen fire engines with about 75 crew members were sent to the incident at the single-storey industrial premises on Warwick Road, Sparkhill, at about 07:15 BST on Sunday.

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesperson said the blaze was affecting about 40% of the factory as well as three separate businesses.

No casualties have been reported, they added, and people have been urged to avoid the area with residents living nearby told to close all windows and doors.
