A mother from South Yorkshire has said her family’s holiday ended in disaster after they had to stay in an unclean hotel when their flight home was cancelled.
Jodie Tracey, from Wickersley, Rotherham, was due to fly back from Antalya, in Turkey, on Thursday with her three children and her mother Denise.
A spokesperson from Jet2 said the family and other holidaymakers were given accommodation after “adverse weather conditions” meant the flight to East Midlands Airport could not go ahead.
Now back in the UK, Ms Tracey told the BBC the hotel was unclean and she saw bugs, mice and cigarette ash in the room, which she described as “unbelievable”.
