Dom Leech: Yorkshire pace bower joins Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire have signed Yorkshire pace bowler Dom Leech on a three-year contract from next season.

The 23-year-old has also taken up a short-term loan deal at the County Ground, and will feature for Northamptonshire in their County Championship game against Middlesex starting on Thursday.

Leech has made seven first-class appearances and featured 16 times in white-ball cricket for Yorkshire, having come through the club’s youth ranks.

He has also previously had a short stint at Northamptonshire on loan.

“Dom is an excellent signing for us,” Northamptonshire head coach John Sadler said.

“He is a very good young bowler with a very high ceiling and a great attitude. He brings us some ball speed and really strengthens our bowling unit across all three formats.”
