Ceredigion: Bronze Age treasures on display in Aberystwyth museum

The collection also includes bracelets and axe heads, and Martin Ives, secretary of the Friends of Ceredigion Museum Committee, said: “[We’re] quite unclear about why they’re all together and why they were actually buried in this particular place.”

Museum curator Carrie Canham, said the items were now “where they belong”.

“These objects have thrown up a lot of curious questions about what they were doing in the different pits in Llangeitho, who put them there, why did they put them there.

“So it’s an opportunity to explore some of our past,” she said.

Bronze Age finds in Ceredigion are extremely rare, with just two vague historical accounts of previous finds being registered.
