Devon widow reunites with teddies after Royal Mail mix-up

Mrs Taylor said “nobody knows” how they had ended up in Scotland.

“These packages are really big, bright pink, so how they managed to get lost, I have no idea,” she said.

When she finally received her parcel, she decided to open it with her postwoman.

“It was really quite emotional. She was thrilled for me, obviously so was I because these are completely irreplaceable,” she said.

“I burst into tears and my post lady joined me.”

A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “Our colleagues have been actively searching for these items since they went missing and we are very pleased that we were able to reunite them with the customer.”
