Detectives investigating man’s death in Tillydrone, Aberdeen

A man has died after being stabbed in Aberdeen.

Police said the 24-year-old was discovered seriously injured at 00:35 in Tillydrone’s Pennan Road.

He was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Detectives said they were following a positive line of inquiry.

Det Insp James Callander, from Police Scotland’s major investigation team, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died at this very difficult time.”

Police are trying to establish the full circumstances of the incident, but said they were following a positive line of inquiry.

Local area commander, Ch Insp Darren Bruce, said: “We understand this will be a concerning incident for the local community.

“There will be a continued visible police presence in the area and anyone with concerns can speak to these officers.”
