Leeds Rhinos prop Cooper Jenkins has signed a contract extension to keep him at Headingley until the end of the 2028 Super League season.

The 24-year-old made 24 appearances in his debut campaign for the Rhinos, who finished fourth before losing to St Helens in the play-off eliminators.

The Australian forward, who moved to the club having won a State Championship title with North Devils in his home country, said he is “very happy” in England.

“It has been great coming over here and being in such a professional environment and playing tough footy,” he told the club website, external.

“I’m thankful for the coaching staff and for them putting a lot of work into me. That’s why I wanted to stay a lot longer.”

Head coach Brad Arthur said: “Cooper has grown enormously since arriving and he’s only just getting started. He’s bought into our standards and I am sure he will continue to work hard this pre-season to have an even bigger and better season in 2026.”
