Conwy burst pipe: Thousands of homes facing weekend with no water

Advertisements

Thousands have woken up without water for a third day because of disruption caused by a burst pipe.

Water supply had been restored in some areas of Conwy county on Saturday morning, but an estimated 40,000 homes are thought to have been affected.

Welsh Water confirmed the pipe in Dolgarrog, Conwy, had been repaired on Friday afternoon but water would not be fully restored for “up to 48 hours”.

Schools and businesses were heavily affected on Thursday and Friday and some events have been cancelled, including Saturday’s Conwy parkrun at the RSPB Nature Reserve, Llandudno Junction.
