Cleaning expert’s 22p tip for keeping your ‘bathroom smelling fresh’

A cleaning expert has shared her simple 22p trick that she says kills germs and “keeps your bathroom smelling fresh for weeks”.

The bathroom can be a hotspot for unpleasant smells that linger around, no matter how much you attempt to clean them. But home whiz Donna Mendoza has found a top tip that helps keep your lavatory lovely for weeks.

The TikTok sensation, who has over 1.5 million followers, revealed you can use laundry capsules to keep bathrooms smelling nice for days on end, reports the DailyStar. She says it also helps cut down the cost of cleaning products.

In a handy video, Donna – also known as The Cleaning Lady – showed exactly how to do the hack. First, she mixed a pod with warm water in a bowl and broke it down with a fork.

After the capsule had completely dissolved, she poured a generous amount of the mix into the toilet brush holder. Any leftover mixture can then be poured into the toilet.

The pods will have a scent and also get rid of germs and bacteria.
