Cleaner ‘swears by’ £10 product that’s ‘so much better’ – she says ‘it’s a game changer’

Cleaning like a professional doesn’t have to be difficult, you just need to have the right tools.

There are a few tips that professional cleaners swear by, like letting the product sit before wiping it up. When it comes to cleaning the oven, using a bio-friendly degreasing cleaning product will do the trick.

Melissa Maker, who runs the Clean My Space Youtube channel, said she swears by microfiber towels. She shared a video last year detailing how to use microfiber like a pro.

She said for cleaning, microfiber cloths are just “so much better” than cotton cloths. The way it cleans is more efficient to pick up dirt, debris, grease, oil, and bacteria with just a wipe.

Microfiber is so powerful, it can clean surfaces with just water. For messier surfaces or areas with bacteria like the bathroom, you should use a cleaner. But for quick spills, the microfiber by itself will do the trick.

Maker also said microfiber towels can hold eight times its weight in water. Once one side gets wet, it’s easy to just turn it and continue using.

The quality of the microfiber towel does matter, however. Inexpensive microfiber might not clean as well as high quality cloths.

Maker said: “If you’re going to buy microfiber, invest in the good stuff, take care of it and it will last you for years. It will make your job cleaning easier.”
