Christ Tshiunza: Exeter and Wales forward suffers injury blow

Exeter’s Wales forward Christ Tshiunza is set to miss the autumn internationals after revealing that he has broken his foot.

The 23-year-old was injured in the 33-33 draw with Northampton on Sunday.

On Thursday he posted on Instagram, external an image of his right foot in a brace and an X-ray image with the phrase “first time was so nice I had to do twice”.

It is the second time he Tshiunza broken his foot – he missed five months of the 2023-24 season after suffering a similar injury in his first game back from the World Cup.

Exeter have not confirmed how long the injury will keep the second row out, but his absence will begin with Exeter’s Prem Rugby home game with Newcastle Red Bulls on Saturday, 4 October.
