Feng Shui consultant Dr Michael Oon has revealed top tips to enhance your love life by making sure your home is primed for good, loving energy to embrace you.
To release past loves, and to encourage a new lover, one of the most important Feng Shui tips is to remove remnants of past relationships.
While it may be hard for some to let go of memorabilia, old photos need to go and any clutter in the home needs to be cleared.
Any artwork in the home of single people is also heavily discouraged because this sends out a lonesome vibration.
Dr Oon said: “Identify the South West sector of your home with a map or compass.” This is the area for love and marriage.
“Place crystals of rose quartz in a bowl,” Dr Oon recommended in the south-west of the home.
To attract a partner, pairing items is encouraged, such as a couple of mandarin ducks, two fishes or butterflies.
Red roses are one of the best flowers to improve the chance of developing romantic love.
As well as Feng Shui practices on what to do, there are forbidden tasks that could be a detriment to your love life.
Aquariums are prohibited in the bedroom, any art showcasing unhappiness or natural disasters is discouraged, and only certain live plants should be in the bedroom.
A Peach Blossom plant on the right bedside table would attract a female lover while a Peach Blossom plant on the left bedside table would attract a male lover.
Dr Oon elaborated: “Use fresh and lovely flowers as this symbolises the type of person you want.
“If you want to break off a relationship, use withering or dead flowers.”
To introduce a lover into your life, there needs to be enough space for somebody to enter your life.
“Make space for someone special,” said Dr Oon. “Empty hangers in the closet, space in the bathroom shelves…”
Dr Oon added: “Do not forget to open the windows during the day. This is to refresh the energy in the bedroom.”
Additional factors include a sturdy headboard for the bed, space either side of the bed, and fresh bed sheets.
