Wales defender Charlie Estcourt is now a free agent after mutually agreeing to terminate her contract with DC Power FC.

Estcourt made 20 appearances for the Washington-based team but has made only eight starts over two seasons.

“We would like to thank Charlie for her time with DC Power FC beginning in the inaugural season,” Steven Birnbaum, DC Power sporting director, said.

“We wish her luck throughout the rest of her career.”

The 27-year old former Reading player has made 50 international appearances, with Wales manager Rhian Wilkinson stating continually that she would like her players to be playing regular football for their clubs.
