Gloucester fly-half Charlie Atkinson has signed a deal to extend his stay with the Premiership club beyond the end of this season.

The 23-year-old, who joined the Cherry and Whites midway through the 2023-24 campaign, has scored 21 points in 16 appearances for the club.

Atkinson began his career at Wasps before joining Leicester and has featured twice for England A since his switch to Kingsholm.

“It was a very easy decision to make,” Atkinson told the Gloucester website, external. “Since I arrived at Gloucester, everyone welcomed me with open arms and I’m really thankful for that.

“I’d like to think we’re building something special here and that’s something I want to continue to be a part of.”

The club, who are currently fifth in the Premiership, have not disclosed the length of Atkinson’s new deal.
