Ceredigion infant suffered life-threatening injury, court hears

A 27-year-old man has appeared in court accused of trying to murder an infant, found with “catastrophic” injuries.

Rhydian Jamieson from Cwm Cou, Newcastle Emlyn, is charged with attempted murder.

He was arrested after police were called to a property in the village Y Ferwig, in Ceredigion, on Wednesday night following a report of concerns for an infant’s welfare.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the child had been taken to hospital where they remain in a critical condition.
