The Bluebirds are expecting their highest League One attendance of the season against Lincoln with over 25,000 tickets already sold for Saturday’s game.

Cardiff’s average league attendance is just over 19,000 and Barry-Murphy thinks that extra numbers in the stands will boost his squad for the lunchtime kick-off.

“There will be heightened excitement, the players are flying in training and this week has been brilliant for us,” he added.

“It gives them great pride and satisfaction to know that so many supporters are coming to watch them based on what they have done [this season].

“There is real excitement around the club the players have generated along with the supporters.

“They deserve the chance to try and play and win in front of them on Saturday.”
