Brendan Rodgers close to joining Saudi club Al-Qadsiah

Brendan Rodgers is set to be appointed as manager of Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah.

The Northern Irishman is in advanced talks over a move to the Middle East with an agreement expected by the end of the week.

Rodgers, who previously managed Liverpool and Leicester, left Celtic in October, having led the Scottish club to back-to-back titles during his second spell in Glasgow.

Al-Qadsiah have parted company with their previous manager Michel, paving the way for Rodgers to take over.

The Saudi club are currently fifth in the top flight.
