Boy, 15, charged with attempted murder over Oldbury stabbing

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a boy aged 14 was stabbed in the West Midlands.

Police said they were called to Brunel Road, Oldbury, in the early hours of Saturday after a boy was found with a serious knife wound.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was described on Sunday as serious.

The accused, from Sandwell, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has also been charged with possession of a knife in a public place. He is due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday.
