GoogleA bomb disposal team has been dispatched to a street in Edinburgh after reports of a “potentially suspicious item”.
Police Scotland said officers were sent to Loganlea Gardens in the city’s Craigmillar area just before 17:00.
The public has been told to avoid the area and residents of nearby streets have been advised to keep their windows shut and remain inside their homes.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “EOD [Explosive Ordnance Disposal] was contacted and a cordon has been put in place.”
