Boy, 16, arrested over man’s death in Edinburgh

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested over the death of a man on a street in Edinburgh.

Police were told the 22-year-old was injured on Great Junction Street in Leith, at Bonnington Road, at about 02:10 on Tuesday.

Emergency services attended but the man died at the scene. Officers are still in the area carrying out investigations.

Police Scotland said the man has yet to be formally identified, though his next of kin were aware and being supported by officers.
