Birmingham residents say ‘no-one is listening’ as rubbish grows

Rubbish is continuing to pile up on the streets of Birmingham as a strike over pay by the city’s refuse workers enters a fifth week.

A major incident has been declared amid rising concerns of risks to public health – with uncollected bin bags attracting rats.
