Birmingham bin strikes cause chaos

Refuse workers in Birmingham have been on an all-out strike for over a week, resulting with piles of rubbish piling high across the city.

Unite union members began on-off strikes in January, but just over a week ago moved to all-out action in a dispute over pay and working conditions.

People have been hoarding their rubbish, with some asking family and friends to take it across the border for disposal.

BBC reporter Josh Sandiford has been out in the streets of Birmingham where the smell is striking and the bin bags have been nibbled by animals.
