Lancashire have signed Australian batter Katie Mack for the first part of the women’s domestic season.

Mack will be available for eight One-Day Cup games and three in the T20 Blast running until the beginning of June.

The 31-year-old, a regular in the Women’s Big Bash for Adelaide Strikers, is returning to Emirates Old Trafford, having played for the Thunder in last year’s competition, scoring 324 runs in nine matches in the 50-over competition.

“I enjoyed my time with the squad a lot last summer and I hope that I can come straight back in, hit the ground running, and score some important runs with the bat,” she told the club’s website, external.
