Arrest after car collides with eight parked vehicles in Brighton

Police added that officers pursued the car to Morley Street, where it was driven the wrong way down the road and collided with eight parked cars.

Photos taken at the scene showed several vehicles had been damaged.

Sussex Police said “tactics” were used to bring the car to a stop and a man was detained.

He was taken to hospital and has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop, and breaching a court injunction, the force said.

No one was injured during the incident, police added.
