Police in Fort William have appealed for information after a robin was found dead in a glue trap.

The discovery was made on Henderson Row in the Plantation area of the town on Saturday November 22.

Police Scotland said glue traps – which are usually sticky boards – can be used for controlling insects, but it was an offence if used to catch other animals.

The force has urged anyone who has the traps to safely and responsibly dispose of them, and to find alternative pest control methods.
